Alright, back to the political battleground now that Easter is over. So much has happened over the past few days that I have no idea where to begin. First we find out that Barry Obama lied when he said that he had never heard any of the rhetoric that his former pastor had preached and then he comes out and gives this speech that everyone is labeling the race speech. I have to say that it is a sad state of affairs when we still can't get over this race issue. How come everyone else can get along just fine but when a famous figure says something about race it ignites a flame that turns into a raging inferno. The entire country seems to jump on the band wagon and it becomes this ongoing conversation on talk radio, news, and the water cooler. Let it go people. Why are we still stuck on this race issue. Let me just preface what I am about to say by letting you know that I am in no way a racist. I believe that we were all created equal and God loves each one of us. It says in His Word, "In Christ there is no black or white, rich or poor,......". So that being said, how come people still treat people according to their class or the color of their skin. Let's get over it. (I will climb off my soapbox now.).
OK, it has been over a week since I started this entry and I am just getting around to finishing it. (Or adding on at least). Here we are in the elite 8 of the NCAA tournament and my team is out. I had Texas in the drawing pick and they blew it against Memphis. Oh well, I am sure the people at work are happy because I had Florida last year and got a lot of heat for it. Now in my online pick I still have UCLA in it but North Carolina looks to be unstoppable. Anyways, I know that this has nothing to do with the first part of this entry, but hey, I am a guy and The Final Four is coming up and that is what is on my mind right now. Politics will be politics but The Final Four is so much fun to watch. Plus, it is my blog and I can write whatever I want and you really don't have to read it. (I appreciate those that do though and please keep reading...).
So this week I have been all over the place and probably seem like I am babbling. I will stop for now and ask that you be patient with me as the tournament has one more week to go. After that it will be politic bashing as usual. I hope all enjoyed their Easter and hope you keep looking at "The Way I See It....."......

The Madness is Here!!!!!!
Well here I am again and so much to say about what is going on in the world of politics. But today I am not going to get in to it. Today I am sitting and watching March Madness! This is the only time of the year that I actually watch basketball and enjoy it. I have filled out my bracket and am ready to see how wrong I really was in my picks. Honestly, I don't follow who is good throughout the year, I mostly go with the experts but I do pick some sleepers every now and then. I will let you know if any of the sleepers work out or not. I know you are probably saying, "Why doesn't he just tell us now because after the tournament he could say anything?". I guess I could say anything but that wouldn't make me a very good Christian now would it. I promise that I will let you know. Bye the way, I did pick UCLA to win it all so my sleepers won't go very far.
Anyways, what a weekend for the March Madness to begin. The weekend where we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes I said LORD and Savior. I think too many people want Jesus as their Savior but not their LORD. They want the benefits of forgiveness and knowing that Jesus died for their sins, but yet they want to live their life anyway they want. They will go to church on Sunday and put on nice clothes and a smile and "fellowship" with everyone, but when they leave you can't tell them from people who don't know Jesus at all. There is more to being a Christian than just believing in Jesus, you have to live your life according to His will. Take off the old and put on the new. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Hopefully you get my point on this.
Just take some time this weekend and reflect on all that Jesus did for you. Yes you. It is not a generality, it is very personal. The best way to thank Him is to live our lives the way he wants us to. Happy Easter all and enjoy the time with your families. I will continue my rants and raves after the Holiday so as not to get you too riled up with "The Way I See It....."

Politics....Schmolitics
Ok, here it is, day 2 of my blog. Wow, I might begin to like this but we will have to wait and see. It is still early and I have plenty of time to push it aside and not get back to it for the next 2 or 3 years. Anyways, I thought about it this morning and was going to continue going through my political opinions from the 2000 election, but have completely changed my mind with all that has been going on for the last few days in the race for the next president.
Let me start off by saying that I am a die hard conservative. Also, I consider myself a Christian with very strong moral values. I guess that I fit the mold of the stereotypical Republican, with the exception of one thing, I AM NOT RICH. So for those of you who are reading this and saying to yourself, "man, another one of these rich white republicans....", I will tell you now that you probably make more money than I do.
I am going to begin with Mrs. Bill Clinton but the only problem is where do I begin. Well, let's go through what I think are the positives: 1. She has more experience with the layout of the White House than Obama. 2. If you can think of one let me know because I am all out.
Let's touch on the negatives now. 1. She would raise taxes (on everyone by the way, she considers the rich to be those who barely make it on $60,000 per year for the household). 2. She claims experience but being the wife of slick Willy does not put a plus in her column for experience. 3. Although I think health care should be affordable for everyone, I don't want to wait 3 months for surgery that should happen tomorrow. 4. What is this thing with matching 401K and a bond for every baby that you have. Do you realize that we would have a population explosion coupled with a run on big screen HD TV's? (I think you can connect the dots on that one). 5. Everyone should be able to go to college for free. Whatever happened to working hard and earning a spot? Not to mention kids who can't think for themselves and the helicopter parents that would come of that. (Ask my wife, she can tell you all about it). 6. She is an angry person. I guess if you lived with Bill for all those years you would be angry too so maybe I can't fault her for that. I think that I could go on and on but you would surely get tired of it so I will stop for now.
Right now I am not even going to touch Barak Obama and the things I think about him. That might take a couple of blogs. Let's just say that when my wife reads what I am about to write, she will probably call me and ask what I have been drinking. As it stands right now if I absolutely had to choose between Barak and Hillary, I would choose Hillary and then check myself into the nearest counseling center. Honey, I swear all I have had to drink is a little Diet Coke.
I think the saddest thing about this whole process is, politicians say that America wants this and America wants that but the way I see it is that they only talk about what they want and that is power. Read between the words and see who they really are and why they want the position that they do. Think about it.....it makes sense......that's it for now and that's "The Way I See It...."

Where I'm Coming From
The way I see it......a blank page with a flashing line just waiting for me to start typing and put my thoughts out there for all to see. This is something that I am just going to try and see where it goes. I have never been one to put my thoughts on paper. It has always seemed like a waste of time to me. I mean, come on, my thoughts are my opinions and why would anyone want to know what is going on in this messed up mind of mine. But sitting here listening to my wife type away at her computer and seeing how much fun she is having made me think that I should start doing something to keep up with her. So here I am, typing away with nothing to say. A blabbering goofball, trying to make use of his computer for something other than games and email. Wow, what a life.
Actually, I do have a lot of opinions but I will have to give you some background first. Without going into my childhood memories and boring you with my adventurous life that included lizard hunting, riding bikes, and raking sand, I will start with what this blog is going to be mostly about. Now if you are not into politics or religion you will probably be a little bored but I really don't care. The fact is, I have a lot of opinions and instead of telling them all to my wife over and over again, I thought that it might be nice for others to be able read them. So here it goes.
Back in 2000, I was watching to see who was going to be the next president of this great country of ours and marveled at how screwed up people really are. Honestly, if you remember the whole debacle of hanging chads and lawsuits, how did the greatest country on the face of the earth look to the other nations as they watched on their TV's and laughed. Think about it, it was the year 2000! Remember being a kid in the 80's and thinking what it would be like in the year 2000. Flying cars, X-Ray vision, teleportation (Star Trek fans were looking forward to this much earlier than the 80's). It was going to be great. Amazing what kind of influence movies and special effects have on a young mind.
Anyways, here we were, the year 2000, great technological advances had been made, computers were getting faster and better everyday, cars were more efficient, email had taken over, cell phones were getting smaller and doing more things than ever, and people in Florida couldn't figure out how to mark a box on a voter card. What a joke! I think that the biggest joke was how big of a deal this actually became. They had to go through each card and decide what the voter's intent was. Was he trying to punch the hole for George Bush or Al Gore? Did he read the card right? Was he in the right precinct? Did he have clean underwear or did that cloud his judgement? (OK that last one was mine, but did you at least smile?). And when all was said and done, they still didn't have clear enough answers. "George Bush stole the election. Al Gore won the popular vote. This isn't fair". Cry and whine was all we heard and are still hearing today. Come on people, do you really think we would have been better off with Al "Global Warming" Gore as president. The guy made a movie that from what I hear isn't any good and is full of falsehoods and won a Nobel Prize for it. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!
I am here to say, at least for this post, that we need to get away from party politics and get back to what are the real issues facing this nation and how do we solve them. I am tired of politicians saying that they have the answers and if we just go along with them, all will be well. They only want to keep their power and really don't care what the people want. Let's start standing up to these Washington idiots and start making some real changes and make some things happen.
I know, a lot of words for someone who just saw a blank page, huh. Oh well, you either liked it or you didn't and agreed or disagreed with it. I just wanted you to know where I am coming from. More to come later so hopefully you will keep up. Just remember, THIS IS THE WAY I SEE IT.....
